We will be offering full trips Friday-Sunday with some short trips possible on Monday. Dates are 5/24-5/27.

We will likely be doing work in multiple caves over the weekend including Horsethief, Bighorn, Titan and maybe more!

For the project weekend It is ok if you can not attend all of the days. It is looking like Saturday is going to be the biggest day followed by Sunday, then Friday. Also we will have trips for everyone from an easy first timer trip to hard trips for veterans, so all are welcome! We try to have a big emphasis on teaching and learning for those wanting to advance their skills.

If you are not an approved sketcher that has been brushing up on your sketching skills and feel ready, please go fill out our approved sketcher application ASAP so we can have enough time to get you approved. (WE WILL NOT BE APPROVING PEOPLE ON THE MOUNTAIN). Sketcher Application: https://forms.gle/drqmYR99ET6eJ8DA7

For the mindset and culture we expect for the weekend it will be a bit more of a getting work done culture and not full vacation party vibes. Our agency partners have issued us these permits with the expectations of results in the future. This doesn’t mean we can’t have some time to kick back and have some fun both in and out of the cave but we want to make sure we get some good quality work in for the project first. So out of the cave this means we may not be partying till the early morning hours and we expect people to be ready in the morning at call time for a good strong day of caving. In the cave this means not as much time for sightseeing but we will have every trip lead leave a little time at the end of the day to have some fun and satisfy that itch to go see the big name pretty areas or poke around. Overall we try to have as much fun and stay as informal as we can while still keeping things safe, running smooth, and producing good quality results.

If you are a newer caver and need to borrow some gear or are wondering what you should pack I encourage you to join the Telegram chat and ask in there so the veterans and other participants of the group can get your requests and questions answered quickly. We don’t bring up much for extra gear unless people have talked to us ahead of time. For packing lists we have a general list that is included in the orientation document and we are working on making more content to help participants refine their packing list further.

If anyone has any questions that we haven’t answered please feel free to reach out to me or any other staff member and we will have a great time on the mountain.
