Annual Business Meeting Wrap-Up

The NRMG Annual Business Meeting happened on December 12, 2021 via Zoom, with members joining from across the region. Afterward, the grotto moved to Gather.town for an informal hangout that proved far better for actual conversation than a straight Zoom call.

Several highlights from the meeting: the grotto’s treasury came in at $7,805.85 on the books, showing solid financial health. Kristina Smucker delivered a White-Nose Syndrome update that was candid about what’s coming for Montana’s bat hibernacula. John Fioroni walked through his drone-mapping work, the kind of technical project the Small Grant fund was created to support. The membership passed a motion to commit $850/year to ongoing Bighorn/Horsethief survey operations, a significant investment in what’s shaping up to be a cornerstone project for the grotto. The officer slate was re-elected to continue steering the organization.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and to the folks doing the committee work that keeps the grotto running between meetings.
