We are excited to announce a new contest at the Annual Grotto Meeting (April 5-7th at Lewis and Clark Caverns!) This year we will be holding a random drawing from the folks who have submitted trip reports since last year’s AGM. If you haven’t submitted a trip report yet, there’s still time! Trip reports can be submitted through April 1st to be entered into the contest.By submitting a trip report you’ll be entered to win one of three prizes:
- 150′ 11mm static rope from Elevated Climbing
- A new Darren Drum (watertight and durable for transporting dry food, clothing, camera equipment, etc. safely through a cave)
- A DMM Phantom locking carabiner!
GROUND RULES:
-Your name will be entered once for each trip report submitted (so keep on submitting!)
-Reports should be at least 1 paragraph and include 1 or more photos
-Reports must document an actual event (we’re not looking for essays about why you love caving, etc.). The executive officers will have final say on whether a report is accepted for the contest.
-Historic trip report entries are encouraged!
-It’s OK if the reports have been published elsewhere, but ONLY if you have full ownership of the piece and agree to let us publish the work in our newsletter, online, etc. (i.e., don’t give us a trip report or photos that you sold to Sports Illustrated ????)
Finally, you do not have to be present at AGM to win, but if you are present you’ll receive your prize right away (and the jealousy of all your fellow cavers!!) So we hope to see you all there anyway!
