Lewis and Clark Caverns Seeking Summer Volunteer Presenter

Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park is looking for a volunteer to give an informal summer presentation as part of their annual speaker series. The presentation will be a 45-minute talk on a caving-related topic of your choice, aimed at the general public (audiences typically reach 10-50 people). It doesn’t require expertise—just willingness to bring some gear, explain how it works, share caving ethics and safety, and swap a few stories.

Presentations happen Friday evenings at 8 PM at the park’s campground amphitheater. In return, the park provides a complimentary cabin for the night of your talk and up to four cave tour vouchers. The grotto will cover your gas expenses up to $100. Priority dates are July 22 or August 5. If you’re an early-career caver, this is a great opportunity to add to your resume. Reach out to Taryn Eveland at taryn.eveland@mt.gov with your interest and cc Ellen so she knows someone got back to them.
